The purpose of our Academy Handbook is to provide information that may assist parents as they work with the faculty. This is a complete guide to our policies and regulations.
Dear Parents and Volunteers,
Thank you for your willingness to share your time and talents with our academy. To volunteer for school activities that support our students, all volunteers must be approved and fully compliant with the requirements of the Diocesan Office for Protection of Children and Young People.
Full compliance requires the following:
● Virtus Training – Attend an in-person Protecting God’s Children 4.0 training session.
● Code of Conduct – Read and sign the Code of Conduct outlining standards for appropriate behavior and interactions with minors.
● Background Check – Complete and maintain a valid background check.
● Annual Retraining – Complete the online retraining module assigned to all volunteers each year on July 1st.
Volunteers who already have a Virtus account should log in before September 1st to confirm that all information is current. Please also make sure your account includes a valid email address so you receive notifications when a new training module is assigned. Anyone who does not already have a Virtus account should register at Virtus.org.

Please note that anyone who is not fully compliant before the start of the new school year in September will not be eligible to volunteer.

We are happy to once again offer the SHCA Used Uniform Program. This program offers families interested in gently used uniform items that have been donated back to the school by our SHCA families. All items available are in good condition and are FREE.
