3-K and Pre-K for All

Sacred Heart Catholic Academy of Glendale offers FREE 3-K for All and Pre-K for All through the New York City Department of Education. 

Families can apply three ways:
- Online at MySchools.nyc
- Over the Phone by calling 718-935-2009
- In Person by visiting a Family Welcome Center

If you have an older child attending school at SHCA, please make sure to indicate that your child has an older sibling in the school on your application.

How to Apply Online

1. Go to MySchools.nyc and create an account if you do not already have one. 

 2. Add your child(ren)’s information. If you have multiples (twins, triplets, etc.), this can be indicated on the application so they do not get assigned to separate schools.  

3. You can then apply to 3K & PreK (application will be opening at the end of January) for up to 12 schools. Make sure to list schools in order of preference. Our school code is 24QAER (Be sure to apply to Sacred Heart Catholic Academy in Glendale, not Cambria Heights.)

 4. There is *no paperwork* required at this time. You will be notified of your child(ren)’s program placement in May. At that time, you will move on to the registration process.

Sacred Heart Catholic Academy After School Program

The Sacred Heart Catholic Academy After School Program is open to students of the Academy in 3K & PreK

The program allows time for a light snack (not provided by the Academy), homework, free time (inside or outside, weather permitting) and movies. It runs from dismissal until 6:00 P.M. and is under the supervision of Sacred Heart Catholic Academy teachers. Pre-registration is required.
