First Grade Page

Happy February! It may be a short month but it’s a great one! Valentines! Presidents! Ground hogs! We think a little snow might be a nice treat as well. Speaking of snow….. we read the story Snowflake Bentley. Stay tuned for the exciting activities that follow this story!

Our teacher celebrated her birthday on the 5th of the month. We had an awesome party complete with aprons, necklaces, picture frame diy’s and cupcakes. Thanks Momo!

 We continue to read great stories in our Reader. They are getting longer and have many more challenging words. In Math,we are learning all about place value. We will also learn how to compare numbers using symbols for greater than and less than. 

Keep clipping and saving the BOX TOPS. Rumor has it that we are in a good position to take the lead! Woo Hoo! that could mean a COoKie PaRtY for Grade 1 !!
